Dr. Mohamed Essalhi received his master degree in Renewable Energy from the Faculty of Physics, University Complutense of Madrid (UCM) Spain in 2007. His research was related to desalination by Reverse Osmosis and Solar Energy. After that he received scholarship to follow his career as Ph. D. student in the UCM Spain. During his Ph. D. he focused on the Development of Polymer nanofibrous, microfibrous and hollow-fiber membranes for membrane distillation in Membranes and Renewable Energy Research Group. During his Ph.D. Dr. Essalhi participated in nine research projects about the design and preparation of flat sheet, hollow fiber and nanofibrous membranes for desalination by membrane distillation as well as reverse osmosis.
He published more than 14 papers in international Journals, 2 Book chapter, 23 conferences and got the extraordinary price of best Ph.D. thesis, in 2014 (Faculty of Physical Sciences, University Complutense of Madrid (UCM)). After accomplishing his Ph.D., he carried 2 years as research engineer and honorary senior collaborator in the Department of Thermology on the Faculty of Physics, University Complutense of Madrid (UCM). He joined Nordic Membrane Laboratory since August 2019.
